Services provided by Dougie Sim Timber Buildings 

We will provide you with a first class friendly service.  

All our timber buildings are made to order.   

Our prices include Supply, Delivery and Erection.

*(If you reside outside a 30 miles radius then there will be an extra charge).*

If necessary I can come to your home or site to conduct a detailed survey and discuss further details such best positioning and foundations for your new Dougie Sim Timber Building.

A deposit of 20% is required on all orders.

On Garage orders a 10% charge will be added for site erection costs.

Payment is due on delivery, VAT will be charged at 17.5%.

Products used by Dougie Sim Timber Buildings 

Material  used  is as follows:    

Framing

38 x 50  C. L. S.  is used on all our products from A Dog Kennel up to the 12’ x 10’ shed, they are then clad with 16mm Tongue and Groove Weatherboarding. 

38 x 65 C.L.S., for all sizes above that we class as Single Garage size this framing is necessary to carry the bigger structure. 

For Double Garages  (e.g. approx  6m x 6m) we then move up to 38 x 90 C.L.S. Framing, and due to the roof span we supply and fit factory made Roof Trusses.  

Flooring

On  all floors we use 16 x 150 Sarking which are put onto treated timber bearers (38 x 50) at  400 mm centres ( approx ).   

(We can also supply as an extra Tongue and Groove 19 x 115 flooring).

 Roof

On the roofs of our Sheds we use 11mm Sterling Board covered with 25kg green mineral felt. 

On all Garages we recommend Planwell Permadri Roof Sheeting. 

This can also be used on garden sheds summer/houses etc at the customers request

On all sheds and garages treated timber is used apart from Weatherboarding which we treat with Spencer Paints Microflex Mahogany unless the customer requests some other product or colour.  (We recommend that the customer coats the shed/garage at least once a year).
